Allopurinol: Drug Treats Gouty Arthritis, Kidney Stones, and High Uric Acid Levels for Patient Education


Allopurinol is prescribed for treating gouty arthritis that occurs due to high uric acid levels in the blood, kidney stones caused by uric acid crystals, and high levels of uric acid occurring during cancer treatment.
