For those who are trying to seek a 'work-life balance', working from home might not always be the best option as juggling between home chores and work is more exhausting, according to Professor Tim Golden from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.

He studied more than 300 'tele-workers' at a big computer company. Few were based in the office and few spent some or all of their time working from home. The professor noted that it was even more stressful to work from home for people who got stressed in the office.

When working from home there is no escape from domestic life. About 4 in 5 employees reported feeling stressed about not being able to achieve the perfect work-life balance and this made them feel more worse.

This new research suggests that working from home is more stressful than going to office.
