What is Fibromyalgia ?  

A condition that is typically characterized by chronic widespread pain. There is a heightened and painful response to pressure at that point. The condition affects the muscles and soft tissues. Other symptoms also present along with the pains.


Cause(s) :  
  • Idiopathic
Symptoms :  
Most common symptoms:
  • Joint and Muscle pain
  • Fatigue
  • Sleeping Disturbances
  • Numbness and tingling in extremities
  • Prolonged muscle spasms
  • Muscle twitching
  • Nerve pain

Less common symptoms:
  • Mood Swings
  • Short-term memory Loss
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Difficulty in swallowing
  • Bowel and bladder abnormalities
  • Cognitive dysfunction (problems with memory
Diagnosis and Tests :  
  • History of chronic widespread pain for more than 3 months
  • Tender points
  • Complete Blood count
  • X-ray
  • Thyroid Test
