Clinical Results Reveal the Womanizer is an Effective Treatment Option in Menopausal Women: 100% Experienced an Orgasm; 86% Improved the Quality, Intensity and Frequency of Orgasm

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the pilot study, Treatment of Orgasmic Difficulty in Perimenopausal, Menopausal and Post-Menopausal Women, found The Womanizer Deluxe, an indirect clitoral stimulator, is highly effective in helping menopausal women improve sexual function, sexual distress and overall quality of life.

Dr. Jennifer Berman, Urologist and Sexual Health Expert designed the unique study to clinically evaluate the effectiveness of the Womanizer's patented PleasureAir Technology in treating orgasmic difficulty in perimenopausal, menopausal and post-menopausal women including those taking anti-depressants and oral hormonal contraceptives – medications known to negatively impact sexual function and orgasmic response in women.

To access the full study please visit: www.womanizerstudy.com. Study findings include:

  • 100% of participants experienced an orgasm using the Womanizer
  • Majority (86%) experienced an orgasm between 5 – 10 minutes
  • Majority (86%) believe the Womanizer improved their sexual response
  • 77% reported their overall orgasmic response was a lot better with the Womanizer
  • 77% reported they were more than satisfied with the ease of reaching orgasm
  • 73% reported they were more than satisfied with the intensity of their orgasm
By the year 2020, more than 50 million US women will go through menopause – and some will experience a decline in sexual function (JoAnn E. Manson, MD, DrPH). A portion of those women will experience orgasmic difficulty, while others may experience a decrease in sexual response – the ability to orgasm easily and experience powerful, toe-tingling sensations. To date, no FDA approved treatment exist for sexual arousal or orgasmic disorder in menopausal women nor does clinical research exist that tests the efficacy of an erotic toy.

"The study is the first to break the bifurcation that exists between the adult toy market and the health and wellness community," said Dr. Jennifer Berman, Urologist and Sexual Health Expert. "It validates that the Womanizer, a popular adult toy, can improve sexual function and response, decrease sexual distress and improve quality of life. Now healthcare providers have a viable treatment option to offer patients experiencing orgasmic difficulty or changes in the intensity of orgasm due to aging and menopause."

The Womanizer's patented PleasureAir Technology is based on a unique type of stimulation that generates rapid and intense orgasms. By using air pressure rather than vibrations, it minimizes desensitization of the clitoris making it safe to use continuously. Once placed over the clitoris it quickly molds to the exact contour of a woman's body and mimics the overall sensation of oral sex. At a lower intensity, it feels like gentle kisses against the clitoris; as power increases, it starts to feel like a firm pulling and sucking.

According to Jennifer Skelton a study participant, "Prior to using the Womanizer, it was extremely difficult for me to orgasm, but now, I orgasm every single time, and my orgasms are much more intense. Honesty, the Womanizer is the greatest thing I have ever experienced."

"We're very pleased with the results which confirm what we already knew: PleasureAir Technology is truly unique in helping women experience rapid and intense orgasms," said Frank Alde, CEO, epi24 USA. "The Womanizer was designed so it's not intimidating to use yet it's safe on the clitoris and can be used with a partner or privately to self-stimulate. We encourage anyone experiencing orgasmic difficulty to give it a try."

The 4-week pilot study was conducted during October 2016 and included 22 menopausal women experiencing orgasmic difficulty with a mean age of 56. It was issued by the Womanizer, designed by Dr. Jennifer Berman, Urologist and Sexual Health Expert and administered by Brooke Faught, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Director of the Women's Institute for Sexual Health (WISH).

All participants were asked to complete the following validated questionnaires: FSFI (Female Sexual Function Index), FDSD-R (Female Sexual Distress Scale) and SF-36 (Short Form Health Survey), FIEI (Female Intervention Efficacy Index) and a Global Assessment. Responses were used to determine the study's primary endpoint – change in sexual function and sexual distress – and secondary endpoint – overall satisfaction with sexual response, the time to achieve orgasm and the intensity of orgasm.
