I was awarded Medanta fellowship in Pediatric Hemato-Oncology & BMT in July 2018. Then, I continued to work as Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) fellowship in Pediatric Hemato-Oncology & BMT at Medanta. I was also work at KGMU, Lucknow about one year as senior resident in Pediatric Oncology department (2016-2017). Later I trained in Haemato-Oncology in SGPGI, Lucknow (PDCC/PDF).
During my fellowship training I was actively involved in care of children with blood and cancer disorders and those undergoing BMT. I was trained in managing the children with both benign haematology disorders (like thalassemia, sickle, bone marrow failure, primary immune deficiency, haemophilia& other bleeding disorders and thrombosis) and malignant disorders like leukaemia, lymphoma, brain tumours, neuroblastoma and other solid tumours. I had a good exposure to bone marrow transplantation during my fellowship training. I was learnt about indications of BMT, donor selection, bone marrow and stem cell harvest, conditioning regimens (myeloablative, reduced intensity and non-myeoablative), post-transplant care (including infections, Graft vs host disease, veno-occlusive disease and other complications) and outpatient management of BMT patients.[shrink]
