Indications : persistence of hyperglycemia

Physiology : Glucose combines with hemoglobin to form glycated hemoglobin.the levels indicate at any point of time the average blood glucose level for the past 3 or 4 months

it is very good test for long run and average blod sugar control,but this there limitation like cost,international standadization of procedure,variation in result due to renal failure,red cell disorder and other factro and availability of test
