Glossary

Grand multipara: It refers to a pregnant mother who has had previous four or more than four viable births.

Perineum: It refers to the area between pubic symphysis and coccyx in a person.


Abruption placenta: It refers to bleeding due to premature separation of the placenta in a normal site.

Placenta: It is the structure which connects a developing fetus to the mother for an exchange of nutrients and oxygen.
