Glossary
Hair follicle: A small pit or depression in the skin where hair grows and emerges out of the skin. Sweat glands and sebaceous glands open into this pit.Antibiotic-resistant infection: An infection that does not respond to a particular antibiotic.
Carrier: A person who has the bacteria or a genetic defect that causes a disease and can pass it on to others, but does not suffer from the disease.
