Cochlear implant: This is an electronic device that is used to bypass the functions of the inner ear. It is used in patients with hearing loss.

ENT specialist: A doctor specializing in ear, nose and throat diseases.


Hemorrhage: Bleeding from a ruptured blood vessel.

Myringotomy: A surgical incision performed on the eardrum to remove the accumulated fluid and to ease the pressure.
