Meditation Therapy and Stress Management in the Corporate World

The Corporate world has incorporated 'meditation' in their training programs. An article written by Ambica Gulati on Boardroom Enlightenment, says that General motors, Thermax, Otis Elevators, Kirloskar Oil Engines are some of the organizations, which have benefited through the meditation techniques.


Mr. Rishi Prabhakar, founder of the Bangalore based Rishi Samskruti Vidya Kendra and Sidda Samadhi Yoga (SSY), propagates leadership and automatic management through SSY. To quote him, "The thinking process exhausts the body. The level of rest gained during SSY is about three to four times more than that acquired in a state of deep sleep. It enhances creativity and intelligence."

Mr. Param Ajjan, a corporate trainer and CEO of Matrix, a training organization says, "I include meditation in all my workshops on emotional intelligence. I have observed remarkable results. The work environment becomes charged and relaxed."


With modern life getting more and more hectic, fast paced and demanding, many old people and young get stressed, over-worked and that manifests in anger, suicide, frustration, depression and mental illness. At the outset, it looks, as though, there won't be enough time for meditation but 10 to 15 min. of meditation can change one's outlook towards life. It can transform a person's mind from negative to positive, depression to relief, distress to peace and grief to joy.
