Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome: Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome or ARDS is a condition in which the lung's alveoli or sacs are filled with fluid. Due to this, the oxygen content in the lungs and the bloodstream is significantly reduced.Antibody Tests: This test is used to detect the presence of antibodies in a sample to determine whether the individual has been infected by a particular virus eg. SARS - CoV-2
Antigen Tests: This test is used to check for the presence of protein markers present on the outer surface of a virus to determine if a person currently has an active infection.
Antimicrobials: An antimicrobial kills microorganisms in order to prevent and treat infections. This includes antivirals, antibiotics, antiparasitics and antifungals.
Covaxin: Covaxin is a vaccine developed in order to protect individuals from SARS - CoV-2.
Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C): MIS-C is a health condition which causes inflammation in multiple organs in the body including the lungs, heart, brain and kidneys.
RT-PCR: The RT-PCR or reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test detects the presence of nucleic acid in the respiratory system in order to determine if an individual has been infected by COVID.
SARS-CoV-2: SARS-CoV-2 OR Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 belongs to the family of coronaviruses and causes the acute respiratory disease COVID-19.
