by Tanya Thomas on August 15, 2010 at 9:15 AM

The humble houseplant has the potential to cut office sickness rates and boost productivity - if workers remember to water them, suggests a new report.

According to the Plants4Life report, having some natural greenery in the office may also improve workers' concentration, reports the Scotsman.

It may also improve well-being by enhancing people's mood, according to the report.

The report also claimed installing houseplants into work places could reduce symptoms such as fatigue, headaches and coughs.
