Video Games Up Pain Tolerance of Players: Study

Video games which lets you kill people and destroy properties makes you tougher, says the results of a new study.

A study found volunteers could handle pain for 65 percent longer after playing the shoot-em-up games.


They played both violent and gentle games then put their hands in cold water to test their pain tolerance.

"Playing the video game increased feelings of pain tolerance," the Daily Star quoted Dr Richard Stephens, of Keele University, as saying.
