Homeopathic Medicines may Help Prevent Swine Flu

Homeopathic medicines may play a pivotal role in tackling swine flu, it has been suggested. The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy has recommended these medicines.

A meeting by the department of AYUSH (Ayur Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) recommended medicines called Arsenicum album 30 for treating swine flu.

For adults, the recommended dose is four tablets per day, while for kids it is two tablets per day. The pills have to be taken on an empty stomach for three days.

"The experts suggested that homeopathic medicine 'Arsenicum album' could be taken as preventive medicine against flu like illnesses including swine flu," a health ministry official said.
