Get Rid of 'Double Chin' With a Fat-Busting Jab

A new fat-busting injection that promises to get rid of unsightly fat around the jaw line without having to resort to surgery or dieting could be a revolutionary treatment, the Daily Express reported. The process is still in its clinical testing stage.

The procedure involves injecting a specially-formulated chemical, known as ATX-101, into the skin to kill off fat cells, known as "submental fat", or double chins.

The drug was a version of deoxycholic acid, a molecule that occurs naturally in the body to help destroy fat.

Manufacturers Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc said more than 90 percent of those who tried the drug maintained a meaningful reduction of fat after two years.
