Enjoying a Drink at Work

Attitudes of some organizations towards drinking at work have undergone a change. Some of them have begun to stock up beer in their refrigerators and are allowing employees to have it.

Organizations, especially startups where employees usually work into the wee hours have extended this perk to keep the spirits high. To encourage responsible drinking, some of them ask employees to check in on an iPad after they finish a drink.

Organizations that have started this trend are Yelp's headquarters in San Francisco, CrowdFlower and Twitter, and they believe in treating employees as adults.
