Conjoined Twin Does Not Survive After Surgery

10-month-old conjoined twins Maria Jose and Maria Paz from Chile were operated to surgically separate them.


Following the complex 20-hour surgery, one of the twin girls could not survive due to general organ failure. The surgery was performed to separate them at the thorax, abdomen and pelvis.

The condition of Maria Paz, the surviving twin is stable and Doctors are hoping this twin will make it.
