A survey of 3000 people has pointed out that one out of five Scots are discriminated against due to weight issues. Women found themselves at the receiving end of ridicule due to their bodies.

The use of slimming products has gone up by 20 % and sale of obesity drugs has gone up by 65%.

It is a worrying trend as many youth in their twenties are unduly worried about their weight and are resorting to unhealthy measures to lose weight rather than follow a healthy fitness regime.
