DETROIT, Aug. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Endometriosis is a difficult disease to diagnose and treat. Endometriosis occurs when the lining of the uterus grows elsewhere in the pelvis. This disease is painful and can lead to infertility. At the Endometriosis Treatment Center of America, Dr. Jonathan Zaidan and his team use the gold-standard approach of excision for treatment of endometriosis. During robotic excision surgery, deep and superficial lesions of endometriosis are excised (or completely cut out) which will ultimately help relieve pain, improve fertility, and help women get their life back. These lesions are then documented and biopsied to confirm the diagnosis. Dr. Zaidan and his team have recently launched a new effort in sharing these pathology reports to educate women on excision surgery.

"Expert care and attention are crucial in caring for women with endometriosis. Given the expansion of technology, internet, and social media, women are inundated with information about endometriosis and 'specialists' who can help. But, how do you determine the right team or most effective surgeon for you?" says Zaidan. "At the Endometriosis Treatment Center of America, we value transparency and education! We are now sharing real pathology reports from our patients to give women an inside look into our surgeries to see the extensive number of lesions of endometriosis that we have excised for our patients. We hope this serves a tool in helping women find the expert care they deserve. Our pathology reports speak for themselves!"
