MONACA, Pa., Sept. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Pocket Nurse recognized local colleges and universities during Healthcare Simulation Week from Sept. 16 through Sept. 20, 2019 by delivering cookies to healthcare simulation labs in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
According to the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), "Healthcare Simulation Week celebrates global professionals…who use simulation to improve the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of healthcare delivery."

Pocket Nurse visited several simulation labs in the region including the Community College of Allegheny County; WISER at University of Pittsburgh; West Virginia Northern Community College; Franciscan University of Steubenville; La Roche University and Carlow University.
"Simulation instruction isn't easy," said Pocket Nurse Corporate Nurse Educator Beth Telesz. "Instructors need to know the course materials, use the technology effectively and record student progress simultaneously."
SSH encourages participation in Healthcare Simulation Week by providing materials and a schedule of events at ssih.org.
