Trumpet Behavioral Health to Present Research at Association for Behavior Analysis International 44th Annual Convention

Trumpet Behavioral Health, a nationwide network of ABA providers and thought leaders, will present its recent ABA research at the 2018 Annual Convention for the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABA-I). Paula Braga-Kenyon, Ph.D., will also participate in a panel discussion.

LAKEWOOD, Colo., May 24, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trumpet Behavioral Health, a nationwide network of applied behavior analysis (ABA) providers and thought leaders, will present new ABA research at the 2018 Annual Convention for the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABA-I) in San Diego on May 24-28. The abstracts accepted for poster and oral presentations are the result of collaborative research involving Trumpet practitioners and researchers. In addition to these presentations, Paula Braga-Kenyon, Ph.D., will participate in a panel discussion on interacting with different cultures when delivering ABA therapy.

New ABA Research on Stimulus Equivalence, Literature Access and Instructive Feedback

In addition to Dr. Braga-Kenyon's participation in the panel discussion on May 28 at 8:00 AM, which is entitled Crossing the Borders With Behavior Analysis: Barriers Encountered by Our Workforce When Interacting With Different Cultures, the following presentations are also scheduled at the convention:

Stimulus Equivalence: From Conceptual Issues to Translational Research. During this symposium on May 28 at 11:00 AM, Dr. Braga-Kenyon will discuss the work of four research groups with the focus on different dimensions of behavioral analysis as they pertain to research on stimulus equivalence. The discussion will focus on conceptual, experimental and translational research.

A Model for Increasing Access to Literature in Human Service Agencies. Jessica Juanico, Ph.D., BCBA-D and Amber Valentino, Psy.D., BCBA-D, will describe the development of a literature request system for a large service agency and how it promotes ethical behavior. This is part of the symposium on May 26 at 11:00 AM that is called Seeking Guidance in Clinical Practice: The Scholarly Literature and Ethics.

Using Instructive Feedback to Teach Untrained Operants: This poster presentation by Sarah Veazey, BCBA, and other members of the Trumpet team will highlight research conducted with a single participant that explored whether instructive feedback presented following a tact trial would aid in the acquisition of intraverbal repertoire.
