"We have been searching for the most relevant content that championsconsumers for our 10-part series we're producing on 'Baby Boomer Health' --with one of the key segments focusing on Electronic Medical Records," statedVision Media's CFO, Mark Miller. Additionally, Miller explained, "Theprevailing problem with most EMR systems is that they are geared for thehealthcare professional, not the consumer. Consequently and not surprisingly, these systems are usually focused on billing, rather than a simple, multi-functional way for a consumer to manage his or her own personal information. We believe that the MedeFile solution represents a notable, breakthroughconcept that finally empowers the consumer."

There will be several topics addressed on the series as a whole, anddistinct programs will be distributed to public television covering a widespectrum of areas, such as The Fear of Aging, Caregiver Issues, DiseasePrevention and Stress Management, among others. The EMR segment will beuplinked to public television stations in all 50 states for airing in Fall andWinter 2007.

"Our government has mandated that medical records need to be streamlinedand accessible by 2014 and that consumers need to be included in thatprocess," stated Milton Hauser, Chairman and CEO of MedeFile International,Inc. EMR and its proper implementation has been both a promising andfrustrating arena of advancement in the medical industry, since platformissues and ease of use have mitigated against having a system in place thatactually makes sense for the consumer.
