"As an activist, entrepreneur, philanthropist and vegan, yoga and meditation has changed my life in so many ways. I wanted to open a space where I can share what is a part of me and what has inspired me for the past two decades," said Founder of Tantris, Russell Simmons. "The goal is to create an educational environment for the wellness community, as well as attract and influence a new audience to pursue a more conscious lifestyle. Tantris, the studio and apparel line, is just the start of a mindful movement - I'm excited to offer a destination to find clarity, relax the mind and body, and escape the daily stressors and personal challenges we all face."

The Tantris apparel collection is designed and developed by leading activewear manufacturer, The Moret Group. With over 40 years in the business The Moret Group manufactures and markets a variety of products under various owned and licensed brands, including 2(X)IST, Jockey, Nautica and Danskin. Tantris offers clothing for women and men, with the women's line available today and men's styles to debut in early 2017. Tantris activewear is made of luxurious performance fabrics with compression and wicking features, as well as a non-slip finish for holding poses, with contemporary athleisure pieces to transition from working out to going out. Price points are positioned in the premium market styles retailing for $88-128. The collection is available exclusively at the Tantris center and Tantris.com.

"When we initially met Russell, we were intrigued by the opportunity to not just build another brand that is inspired by yoga, but also be part of a project that promotes a conscious lifestyle that has yoga at its core," said COO of The Moret Group, Arthur Lachman. "The designs are sophisticated and highly fashionable, yet engineered and constructed for peak performance in a hot yoga class. We were also excited to develop and create the digital flagship store, Tantris.com, through Moret Digital, the e-commerce arm of The Moret Group. The site was designed to amplify the message of the brand and offer a window into the Tantris center, while simultaneously providing an engaging shopping experience."

From eclectic music playing through an unparalleled sound system by Starke Sound, carefully curated yoga programs, unique workshops and speaking engagements to architecture, art and design, Tantris is Russell Simmons' passion project and represents his vision to create a transformative studio to practice, learn and be inspired.
