Pollo Campero Owners Host Reception for the Ayudame a Vivir Foundation in the U.S.

MIAMI, Dec. 17 Campero USA Corp., the U.S. affiliate ofPollo Campero, the leading chain of chicken quick service restaurants fromLatin America, held a reception in South Florida on December 10 to benefit theAyudame a Vivir Foundation ("Help Me Live Foundation"). Patty Gutierrez,director of philanthropy and public relations at Campero USA, organized thisinaugural event, which was held at the Grand Bay Club in Key Biscayne. Theinvite-only event was held to promote the launch of the Ayudame a VivirFoundation in the United States, helping to raise much needed money forpediatric cancer research and treatment.

"The fundraiser for the Ayudame a Vivir Foundation was a great success,far exceeding our expectations," said Ms. Gutierrez. "With the generosity ofour attendees and other corporate sponsors, we helped raise more than $30,000for this wonderful cause."

The foundation intends to make a difference for children in need of cancertreatment in the U.S. by bringing much needed assistance and hope to childrenand families who are unable to pay for treatment. Through its efforts inGuatemala, Ayudame a Vivir has played a role in helping professionals increasechild cancer survival rates in Guatemala from 10 percent to 70 percent and hashelped treat more than 2,000 children.

Added Ms. Gutierrez, "Campero USA has always taken a firm commitment toassisting pediatric cancer causes wherever possible, and we are honored tohave had the opportunity to continue supporting this cause, which is very nearand dear to us. We have seen firsthand the incredibly positive impact thatFundacion Ayudame A Vivir has had on fighting pediatric cancer in Guatemala,and after last night's event, truly believe that its sister organization willhave a similar impact here in the United States."
