Nemchek, who worked on the launch of Plant Based World in 2019 in a consulting capacity, connected with the overall mission behind the business and was eager to join the team in a more official, leadership role. PBW is the only professional trade show in the world dedicated to bringing the plant-based movement to an audience of food industry professionals, healthcare professionals and the general public. Its mission is to grow the plant-based industry to increase the accessibility of plant-based foods and products to make the world a healthier place for all living beings.
Chris Nemchek is a 25-year veteran of the International Exhibition and Global Commerce Industries. He has spent the last 20+ years at the Specialty Food Association (SFA) and is well recognized for his role in developing the Fancy Food Shows into North America's premiere specialty food marketplace.
At SFA, Nemchek oversaw the departments responsible for the strategic direction of the Fancy Food Shows, revenue generation for the SFA enterprise and member success. His work includes strategy development and execution of sponsorship programs and membership growth and advancement plans. He enjoys building partnerships with domestic and international trade associations, governmental agencies and trade show organizers from around the world.
A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Nemchek's industry leadership includes Board of Directors of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and their NY Chapter (NYIAEE). He is also past chairman of IAEE's MATSO Council advancing the interests of the US's largest trade shows.
