Foote Promoted to Vice President at Conseco

CARMEL, Ind., July 29 Conseco, Inc. (NYSE: CNO) announced that Christopher J. Foote has been promoted to vice president, asset-liability management.

Foote, 51, joined Conseco in 1999 and served previously as senior managing actuary for asset-liability management. He reports to Tim Tongson, senior vice president of corporate and shared actuarial services.

"Asset-liability management - the practice of coordinating decisions related to assets and liabilities - is vital to the success of our business," Tongson said. "Chris' promotion recognizes his leadership of this process, his strong actuarial background and his substantial experience working with our investment management unit (40|86 Advisors)."

Before Conseco, Foote served in various actuarial management positions at Great American Life, Union Central Life and Aetna Life & Casualty. A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, he holds a B.S. degree in statistics from the University of Akron.
