Protein Tomography(TM) uses regularization theory to create a 3D imagefrom a series of 2D electron microscope images. The enhanced ProteinTomography(TM) method is developed in order to improve the investigation ofthe structure and interactions of macromolecules in solution and in celltissue samples. It does so by speeding up the visualization and analysissteps allowing for rapid identification of binding epitopes and drug-targetinteractions at the molecular level.

"This new technology will improve both the productivity and theapplicability of Protein Tomography(TM) when used to determine e.g. epitopesand will complement existing methods for a better IP strategy and productpositioning in the biopharmaceutical industry" Says Anders Aberg CSO at Sidec.

About Sidec AB:

Sidec offers collaborative contract research projects using ProteinTomography(TM) for studying therapeutic antibodies and drug targets inbiological systems. The multi-disciplinary team of experts at Sidec canprovide a stronger IP strategy and proven product differentiation to thebio-pharmaceutical industry. Protein Tomography(TM) provides our partnerswith unique visual guidance at the molecular level for target research, leadselection and CD selection to secure a competitive advantage in the drugdesign strategy.
