Dienst Custom Homes Grants Over 40 'Wishes' in Three Years

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 15 After the success of the thirdannual Dienst Custom Homes Wish House Gala, Dienst Custom Homes and theMake-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Central and Western North Carolina have partneredto grant over 40 wishes to date for Charlotte-area children withlife-threatening medical conditions. The Gala, held on September 21, 2007, ata Dienst custom home in the SouthPark community of Foxcroft, helped grantapproximately 17 wishes, surpassing last year's total of 15 and the previousyear's total of 12. The average cost of a wish is $6,000.

The 2007 Wish House Gala was an especially emotional event. Matthew, alocal child who was the recipient of one of the wishes granted by the localchapter of the foundation, gave a touching testimonial about the hope DienstCustom Homes and the Make-A-Wish Foundation had brought into his life. Hisheart-felt tribute left many in tears, as it gave them a first-hand account ofthe difference their donations were making in the lives of children in theirown community.

With over 200 children currently on the local Make-A-Wish Foundation'swish list, Dienst Custom Homes has pledged to pool their resources to continueto lower that number in the years to follow. "Our continued partnership withDienst Custom Homes has been a huge success, especially considering the amountof wishes their Wish House Gala has helped us grant in only three years," saidMake-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina Chairman of theBoard of Directors Kelli Breaux. "They've introduced us to architects,contractors, and trade vendors -- an industry we had yet to form relationshipswith. We are so thankful for everything they've done for the Make-A-WishFoundation, and everything they continue to do."
