Jean W. Marstiller, who joined Cumberland Pharmaceuticals in 1999 as VicePresident of Administrative Services, has been promoted to Senior VicePresident and Corporate Secretary. In this position, she overseesadministrative operations, human resources, site services and informationsystems. Ms. Marstiller has 17 years of biopharmaceutical industry experienceand formerly served as Director of Administrative Operations at TherapeuticAntibodies Inc. She holds an engineering degree from Vanderbilt Universityand attended the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, J. William Hix oversees thecompany's sales efforts, marketing campaigns and promotional programs. Sincejoining Cumberland as Director of Hospital Sales in 2004, he has managed thenational hospital sales force, promoted the company's acute care product line,and was instrumental in the design and implementation of a gastroenterologyproduct field sales force. Mr. Hix brings significant industry experience tothe company, having spent 30 years at Novartis/CIBA-GEIGY PharmaceuticalCorporation. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis andan MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
As Senior Director of National Accounts and Corporate Compliance Officer,James L. Herman is responsible for all national accounts sales, includingwholesalers, retail chains, managed care groups and federal governmentaccounts. He also manages the company's compliance program. Mr. Hermanjoined the company as Director of National Account Sales in 2003. Prior tothat, he worked at Solvay Pharmaceuticals and Schwarz Pharma. He earned abachelor's degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Cardinal StritchUniversity.
Amy Dix Rock, Ph.D. has been promoted to Senior Manager of RegulatoryAffairs. Joining the Company in 2001, she previously served as SeniorScientist. Dr. Rock manages all interactions between CumberlandPharmaceuticals and the Food and Drug Administration, oversees the preparationof regulatory submissions, and manages ongoing clinical trials. She earned abachelor's degree from Washington University, a Ph.D. in immunology from theUniversity of Kentucky, and an MBA from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School ofManagement.
