Citrus Valley Health Partners (CVHP) selected MEDITECH as its new EHR vendor in 2017. It's been a long, but exciting journey for President & CEO Rob Curry.

"Expanse is a major investment for CVHP in more ways than one," Curry said. "The decision to build this brand new EHR did not come lightly and our physicians and staff have already spent thousands of hours behind the scenes to ensure our kick-off day is successful. But we believe in its potential and we know this will be a real game changer for how we deliver care to our communities."

The system went live today, October 1, with deployment of Expanse at its hospice and home care locations. Clinicians and other staff for Citrus Valley Hospice and Home Health in West Covina said the new standardized EHR provides the enhanced tools necessary to increase their productivity so they can deliver best-in-class care to every patient.

"We're honored to partner with CVHP and witness how it will help to transform health care in Southern California," said Helen Waters, executive vice president at MEDITECH.

CVHP is a non-profit health care system located in Los Angeles County, Calif. It is comprised of three hospitals: Foothill Presbyterian Hospital (FPH) in Glendora, Inter-Community Hospital (ICH) in Covina, Queen of the Valley Hospital (QVH) in West Covina, freestanding Citrus Valley Hospice in West Covina, as well as an outpatient surgery site, imaging facility and athletic rehabilitation center. CVHP is known regionally for its Citrus Valley Heart Center, Neuroscience Program/Certified Primary Stroke Center, robotic surgery program, accredited acute rehabilitation program and many ambulatory services. CVHP's family of over 3,500 employees and nearly 1,000 physicians are mission-driven to provide safe, compassionate care. To learn more, visit http://www.cvhp.org.
