"As the industry continues its move to electronic medical records (EMR), privacy and data security considerations are even more imperative as patient information is shared between providers and payers," said Jim Giordano, president and CEO, CareTech Solutions. "Based on our role as the IT department for many hospitals, CareTech Solutions understands this issue first hand. In addition to managing and hosting hospital data from the company's two SAS 70 Type II accredited data centers, we believe it's our duty to also provide our hospital clients with CISSP knowledge and leadership so they can better manage IT security risks and protect the privacy of patients as required by law."
