Heart attacks are the leading cause of on-duty firefighter fatalities, with more than half of all firefighter fatalities attributed to them.[1] In an effort to change this alarming statistic, Cardioviva™ and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) are teaming up to educate fire service and emergency medical technician (EMT) volunteers about the dangers of high cholesterol.
