Accreditation distinguishes American Forensics from other death investigation facilities by providing the highest quality of death investigation and autopsy services to its clients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.
Though ANAB has a long history of accrediting crime laboratories, toxicology laboratories and other forensic service providers, American Forensics is the FIRST facility in the United States to become accredited in the discipline of Death Investigation. Status as an accredited organization means American Forensics has met internationally recognized standards for forensic inspection agencies set by ISO/IEC17020:2012. Not all death investigation facilities seek accreditation; and not all that undergo the rigorous on-site survey process are granted accreditation.
