The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Names New Senior Vice President of Human Resources

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 9 After an extensive national search, Robert Croner has been named Senior Vice President of Human Resources for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Croner has spent his career in the human resources field, and has served at the executive level for the past 20 years. Prior to this appointment, Croner served as the Hospital's interim vice president of Human Resources.

"The knowledge that Rob brings to Children's Hospital, with his broad background and extensive experience in Human Resources, is essential to providing an ideal work experience," said Madeline Bell, executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. "The Children's Hospital community has already benefited in many ways from Rob's depth and breadth of experience, and his commitment to the HR profession is exactly what we need to maximize the department's many contributions to Children's Hospital moving forward."

Before coming to Children's Hospital, Croner was executive vice president of human resources at Radian Group, a mortgage insurance and risk management service provider to global financial and capital markets. In this position, he directed strategic human resource planning and organizational talent management initiatives. Prior to that, Croner was vice president of human resources at Independence Blue Cross.

Croner holds a B.A. from Gettysburg College, and a master's degree in Human Resources Management from Widener University. He resides in Malvern, PA with his wife and two children.
