PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 9 After an extensive national search, Robert Croner has been named Senior Vice President of Human Resources for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Croner has spent his career in the human resources field, and has served at the executive level for the past 20 years. Prior to this appointment, Croner served as the Hospital's interim vice president of Human Resources.

Before coming to Children's Hospital, Croner was executive vice president of human resources at Radian Group, a mortgage insurance and risk management service provider to global financial and capital markets. In this position, he directed strategic human resource planning and organizational talent management initiatives. Prior to that, Croner was vice president of human resources at Independence Blue Cross.
Croner holds a B.A. from Gettysburg College, and a master's degree in Human Resources Management from Widener University. He resides in Malvern, PA with his wife and two children.
