Richard C. Jones Joins Guardian as Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer

NEW YORK, June 26 The Guardian Life Insurance Company ofAmerica (Guardian) today announced that veteran communications executive,Richard C. Jones, has joined the firm as Senior Vice President and ChiefCommunications Officer. Jones brings more than 25 years of communicationsexperience, mostly within financial services. He will be responsible forleading Guardian's media relations, organizational communications, advertisingand brand management functions.

"Richard has extensive experiencedeveloping and managing strategic communications programs. Jones joins Guardian from GE Money where he was Vice President ofCommunications for the Americas region. Earlier, he ran the communicationsfunction at GE Commercial Finance's Corporate Financial Services unit andbefore that worked at MasterCard Worldwide. He also has held positions withseveral New York City-based public relations firms.

Jones graduated from Ohio University with a master's degree in journalismand a bachelor's degree in communication.
