"We are extremely happy to accept this award from AuntMinnie.com, a key forum for the radiology community," said Shai Levanon, President and CEO of Rcadia. "Rcadia has invested great effort to advance the COR Analyzer system and provide the radiology and cardiology communities with a powerful tool to support clinical decision making with cCTA studies. The award is a great honor that reinforces our commitment to develop and provide innovative solutions to improve patient care and increase workflow efficiency in a variety of clinical settings."

The COR Analyzer System's proprietary software enables the practical application of coronary CT angiography by identifying in real time significant coronary pathologies and providing an immediate indication of patients with coronary artery disease.  The system is designed to provide clinical and healthcare cost benefits to the emergency department in triaging chest pain patients as well as workflow advantages in cardiology and radiology department settings. The COR Analyzer System function as an autonomous decision support system when an experienced cCTA reader is unavailable, a prioritization tool for high volume practices, an early response alarm system for CT technicians, and a second opinion diagnostic aid.

The COR Analyzer System, which operates seamlessly in the background, processes patient images from cCTA studies generated by all four manufacturers of 64 slice and above CTA systems. The Rcadia product generates results that determine whether there are significant lesions (more than 50 percent stenosis) in coronary arteries.  The software provides visualization tools, allowing the clinician to validate the findings and see the precise location of detected lesions. In numerous clinical studies to date as well as in routine clinical use of the system, the COR Analyzer System has demonstrated high negative predictive value (over 95 percent).

Minnies candidates are nominated by AuntMinnie.com members in September of each year. Semifinalists and finalists are selected through a vote by AuntMinnie's expert panel of AuntMinnie editors and radiology professionals. The 2009 edition of the Minnies featured 137 candidates in 13 categories, ranging from Most Influential Radiology Researcher to Best New Radiology Vendor.
