The two Blood Collections Vans will go to the doorsteps of their homes, offices to collect Blood. Blood is a life. Every body has it, everybody needs it. Though people want to donate blood, they don’t have time. To address this issue we are going to introduce two blood collection vehicles on pilot project basis in the city. The vehicles go into premises and will be parked in parking areas. People come at leisure can go and donate blood. Thus we are giving opportunity to those who are sincere in donating blood. Blood is a lifeline, saves many lives he said.

We have already raised the necessary funding of US $ 50,000 through Rotary Foundation and through our international charity partners, informed Gopinath Reddy, District Governor of Rotary District 3150, while addressing a press conference here in city on Sunday on the sidelines of the one day Rotary Foundation Orientation Seminar.
If this works out well, we will extend to 12 other revenues district where Rotary Club has its presence, he informed.
Rotary District 3150 is also planning to set up a Free Dialysis unit at a grant of 3,30,000 US $ which is in the process of raising.
Adding further, Gopinath Reddy stated that the District would take up another ambitiou activity-Integrated Development of Schools Projects. Under we will work with schools for integrated development. We plan to spend Rs 3.5 lakh on each school and we would like to extend this project to 50 schools. This project outlay will be 1.6crore.
We also plans to set up a Vocational Training Centre in association with a frontline Sewing Machines Manufacturer to empower women. We believe in earn & learn. Under this concept if we train girls of 8th to 9th class in some basic tailoring jobs, they will also earn while learn, said Gopinath Reddy. We will also work on total literacy project, he said.
