"We're very pleased to align ourselves with IVF FLORIDA Reproductive Associates and the Memorial Healthcare System's exceptional team, facilities and reputation they have," said Dr. Joseph A. Lucci, Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program Director at the University of Miami School of Medicine. "The agreement enables us to continue supporting our mission to be a premier academic medical institution -- all while expanding residents' exposure and improving teaching opportunities through the affiliation with the teams at IVF FLORIDA Reproductive Associates and the Memorial Healthcare System."

"This is an exciting opportunity we have with the residents of the University of Miami. Many of the physicians at IVF FLORIDA have a long history of teaching medical students and residents. It seemed to be a natural fit for us to be able to collaborate with the University's existing REI program and provide expanded teaching opportunities to UM residents," said Dr. Barrionuevo. "We provide services to thousands of patients from Florida and around the world each year, which will provide new challenges for each resident so that they can become exceptional physicians with a comprehensive understanding of REI and a broader GYN surgical experience."

"This new relationship will give us the ability to provide additional educational and learning opportunities for the University of Miami OB/GYN residents. Through the exceptional expertise and experience of our staff at IVF FLORIDA, we are excited to be able to provide additional exposure to the residents," said Clayton Lawrence, Vice President and Executive Director of IVF FLORIDA Reproductive Associates. "IVF FLORIDA and The University of Miami School of Medicine share a common vision in teaching and learning, and by partnering the two organizations, we are confident that patients and residents will be best served. We look forward to working together to elevate the teaching status of the University program."
