Currently, IPA supports a variety of different research platformsincluding gene expression, proteomics, SNPs, genotyping, and RNAi. Now withthe support of Affymetrix GeneChip Exon Arrays, researchers using this systemcan use IPA for further analysis and interpretation of the gene expressiondata. IPA will provide a rapid assessment of the signaling and metabolicpathways, molecular networks, and biological processes most significantlyperturbed in the dataset being examined.

"We're excited that Ingenuity's IPA now supports Affymetrix WholeTranscript Exon and Gene Arrays," stated Rob Clum, Market Development Manager,Informatics, Affymetrix. "Our array technology is designed to provide the mostdetailed view of gene expression, and IPA helps researchers go a step furtherto better understand the underlying biology involved in their experimentalsystem."

"IPA 6.3 provides significant new customer benefits by supportingadditional research platforms," commented Brigitte Ganter, Ph.D., Director ofProduct Management, Ingenuity Systems. "Researchers using Affymetrix ExonArrays can now leverage IPA to identify the molecular networks, cellular anddisease phenotypes, and pathways most significantly associated with theirdatasets for a deeper understanding of the complex systems they are studying.IPA now also supports key animal and plant species, which are essential forour customers whose primary research involves model organisms like Drosophila,Zebrafish, Arabidopsis, or others."

About Ingenuity Pathways Analysis

Ingenuity Pathways Analysis is an all-in-one software application thatenables researchers to model, analyze, and understand the complex biologicaland chemical systems at the core of life science research. IPA's searchcapabilities provide users with access to the highest quality detail-richknowledge available on genes, drugs, chemicals, protein families, cellular anddisease processes, and signaling and metabolic pathways. IPA supports analysisof data from all experimental platforms, and is used at all stages of the drugdiscovery and development process, including target identification andvalidation, biomarker discovery, molecular toxicology, metabolomics, andpharmacogenomics. IPA has been broadly adopted and cited in hundreds ofpeer-reviewed journals.
