ADDISON, Texas, Dec. 1 For many employers, the issue of quality and comprehensive health care is more than just an employee benefit, it's providing for the needs of their family of employees. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. is leading this effort, with the help of Concentra, by opening a worksite health and wellness center at its corporate offices, bringing quality and convenient health care services directly to employees and their dependents.

Beginning in January 2010, Concentra will operate a worksite health and wellness center at Hobby Lobby's corporate offices, delivering acute, urgent, and preventive medical services to employees and their dependents, through its TotalCare(TM) suite of services. Hobby Lobby selected Concentra for its innovative health services offerings, its proven ability to bring superior medical services to employer worksites, and its 4 community-based medical facilities located throughout the Oklahoma City area. The goals of this program are to improve access to quality health and wellness services, and promote preventive and well patient programs throughout the organization.

"We are excited to offer our employees a convenient and established option for routine and ongoing medical care through Concentra's worksite health care facility," said Director of Benefits for Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. Suzy Meledeo. "By establishing an on-site health care facility that is centralized and geared toward providing basic medical services, we hope to provide our employees with easy access to family medicine, and do what is right for their families and their overall well-being."

The worksite facility will be open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be staffed by a physician, and a medical assistant or licensed vocational nurse. More than 3,000 Hobby Lobby employees and dependents will have access to a full-service health and wellness offering with the ease and convenience of services managed by Concentra. Concentra TotalCare(TM) combines best-practice medical strategies to help prevent disease and promote healthy lifestyles, and focuses on health education and employee engagement throughout its health improvement programs.

"Concentra has a strong track record of providing worksite health care solutions to some of the largest employers in the country," said President of Concentra Health Solutions Mike McCollum. "We are pleased to provide skillful, experienced health care services to employees directly, where and when they need them. By improving the health and well-being of Hobby Lobby employees, we help to protect the lives and livelihood of America's future."

TotalCare presents a new option in employee health care by targeting the behaviors and issues that lead to poor health and chronic illnesses. Because the program is customizable, employers can develop an offering that meets the unique needs of their workforce.
