SAINT PAUL, Minn., Dec. 22 Derek Willow of Waconia, Minnesota was the lucky winner of the American Lung Association in Minnesota's "Vikings Road Trip, Fueled By E85" contest, sending him and a guest on a road trip for two to Soldier Field to watch Minnesota take on the Chicago Bears on December 28th. Derek will be traveling to Chicago with his brother-in-law John and other local Vikings fans to watch the Monday night match-up. This will be Derek's first trip to Soldier Field, but not his first experience with E85 fuel, as his Plymouth Voyager is among the estimated 200,000 flex fuel vehicles in Minnesota that can run on the cleaner-burning fuel composed mostly of ethanol. Flex fuel vehicles can also run on gasoline if E85 is unavailable, but that's unlikely to be an issue in Minnesota, which has more than 350 E85 outlets, more than any other state. Illinois also recently celebrated the opening of its 200th E85 outlet.

In addition to the contest, the American Lung Association in Minnesota and the Minnesota Vikings provided free parking for the first 25 flex fuel vehicles that parked in the Gold Lot in downtown Minneapolis during all home games. That promotion continues with the January 3 game against the visiting New York Giants and one playoff game, yet to be determined.
