Dr. Covitz will report directly to Steve West, President of MDS Nordionand will be a member of the MDS Nordion Executive Management Team and arepresentative on the MDS Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Covitz comes to MDS Nordion from the National Cancer Institute (NCI)in Maryland, United States, where he held the position of Chief OperatingOfficer at the NCI's Center for Biomedical Informatics and InformationTechnology. He holds a Ph.D in Microbiology from Columbia University and aB.A. with a major in biology from Colgate University. Dr. Covitz holds anumber of patents and is widely published in scientific journals.
