NEW YORK, May 6 Long known for its creative excellence on national brands, as well as retail and media accounts, the New York advertising agency DeVito/Verdi has quickly become one of the most acclaimed agencies in healthcare advertising. Taking home a total of 31 awards at last week's Aster Awards and Healthcare Marketing Report Advertising Awards shows certainly helps burnish that image.

In both competitions, the agency was honored for its work on behalf of its impressive roster of hospital clients: Mount Sinai Medical Center (New York), North Shore/LIJ (Long Island), Abington Memorial Hospital (Philadelphia) and Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston)

"The long list of winning ads in hospital marketing is a testament to our ability to develop creative work that delivers a strong emotional reaction," said Ellis Verdi, president of DeVito/Verdi. "We're fortunate to work for some of the top hospitals in the nation that all have a tremendously compelling story to tell. They also all demand the best, which is what helps create great advertising."

The Aster Awards are held annually, and are judged by a panel of design and healthcare marketing professionals. The Healthcare Advertising Awards are held under the direction of the Healthcare Marketing Report, the national newspaper of healthcare marketing.

At the 2010 Aster Awards, the agency won Gold in the following categories: Newspaper Advertising (Abington), TV Advertising (Abington), Service Line - Surgical Services (Mount Sinai), Service Line - Orthopedic Services (Mass General), Radio Commercial (Mass General) and Radio Series (North Shore/LIJ).
