Courage Center Transitional Rehabilitation Program to Participate in Learning Collaborative With Stratis Health

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 11 Courage Center's TransitionalRehabilitation Program, which is licensed as a nursing home, has been selectedas a member of the Stratis Health 2008-2011 Technical Assistance Group, alearning collaborative made up of 20 Minnesota nursing homes. The work issupported by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), andis being led by Stratis Health, Minnesota's Medicare Quality ImprovementOrganization (QIO).

Courage Center will participate in quality improvement activities andinterventions to improve the lives of the people who live in their nursinghomes with specific focus on reducing pressure ulcers and physical restraints.Organizational culture change will be at the heart of this work and bestpractices will be shared with the Minnesota nursing home community over thenext few years.
