This new platform is especially designed for the Web and does not simplyduplicate the look and feel of the current SciFinder product, which continuesto be the leading tool for chemistry research. The newest SciFinder experiencewill be offered to an expanding set of commercial, government and academicusers as the product launch proceeds throughout the year.
"The web version of SciFinder is wonderful," said Grace Baysinger, HeadLibrarian and Bibliographer at Swain Library of Chemistry and ChemicalEngineering at Stanford University. "Nothing needs to be downloaded and all ofthe power tools and features are readily visible."
Today, SciFinder is "part of the process" at pharmaceutical, biotech andchemical companies and universities around the world. Scientists use SciFinderto explore research topics, browse scientific journals and stay up-to-date onthe latest scientific developments.
