Improving participation in physician on-call for hospital emergency departments also will be discussed. Physicians are increasingly concerned about the possibility of medical liability lawsuits when there is no established physician/patient relationship as is the case in most emergency situations.

Other topics to be discussed will include effective smoking cessation programs, the role of physician assistants in a medical practice, and community and workplace wellness programs, among others.

Cost is $150 for members of MSMS and the Michigan Medical Group Management Association. Cost is $190 for non-members. Members of the media are invited to attend.
