Bank of America to Tee Up a Delicious Weekend at the 2008 Bank of America Championship

CONCORD, Mass., May 14 In a celebration of Champions Tourgolf, gourmet cuisine and giving back, Bank of America today announced that itwill present "Tastes of the Tour" at the 2008 Bank of America Championship,scheduled for June 20-22 at Nashawtuc Country Club.

Tastes of the Tour is a newly developed program that complementsworld-class golf with cuisine from some of the region's top chefs, whilegenerating awareness and important funding for The Grow Clinic at BostonMedical Center.

As part of the program, three of Boston's top chefs will conduct cookingdemonstrations during each Championship Round day, providing tips and samplesof their signature dishes for tournament fans. Ming Tsai (Blue Ginger), RachelKlein (Aura), Jamie Mammano (Mistral), Marc Orfaly (Pigalle), Jason Tucker(Tresca) and Rich Vellante (Legal Sea Foods) are among the celebrity chefsparticipating in the program. Other restaurants represented will be Olives,Davio's and Stoneforge.

Hosted by the husband and wife team of restaurateur Chris Spinazzola andradio talk-master Marjorie Clapprood, Tastes of the Tour will also featuredaily appearances by Champions Tour professionals and their wives who willshare their own favorite recipes with fans.

Through the Tastes of the Tour, Bank of America will donate $50,000 to TheGrow Clinic whose mission is to provide comprehensive medical, nutritional,social services and dietary assistance to children from the Greater Bostonarea diagnosed with Failure To Thrive (FTT). Children with FTT havesignificant problems growing and are not keeping pace with weight or heightgain when compared to other children their age. Children are referred to TheGrow Clinic by clinics and physicians throughout the Greater Boston area forspecial care. The Grow Clinic for Children is an outpatient subspecialtyclinic at Boston Medical Center, started in 1984 to provide comprehensivespecialty medical, nutritional and social services and dietary assistance tochildren from the Greater Boston area referred with Failure to Thrive by theirprimary care physician.

Event organizers are also encouraging tournament attendees to bringnon-perishable food items to the Bank of America Championship, which will becollected at each admission gate and donated to The Grow Clinic's food bank.

The twenty-eighth annual Bank of America Championship takes placeJune 20-22 at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord. In 2007, the Bank of AmericaChampionship donated $377,500 to local charities. The tournament is the oldest54-hole event on the Champions Tour and has been held at Nashawtuc CountryClub since 1984. Over the past 27 years, the tournament has donated more than$4.8 million to local charities.
