The Dietary Guidelines are an integral component of how the federal government speaks consistently on nutrition issues and aid in promoting good health among the American public. As a valuable resource to Americans, these recommendations should encourage consumers to consume a variety of foods and beverages in moderation, stay hydrated and engage in regular physical activity.

We look forward to sharing science-based information with the Committee as they work to update the current recommendations and foster healthy lifestyles for Americans.

The American Beverage Association is the trade association representing the broad spectrum of companies that manufacture and distribute non-alcoholic beverages in the United States.
