24/7 Kid Doc, Inc. also announced that the company's first pilot program being conducted in North Carolina has progressed to the point where parents are now enrolling their kids for the 2017-2018 school year.
24/7 Kid Doc, Inc. is the only company in the country that provides a complete school-based Telemedicine solution to school districts at no cost and without requiring government grants or corporate donations. The student's Telemedicine consultation will be billed, the same as an office visit, through the student's private health insurance or Medicaid provider. Kid Doc's Connect-a-Doc system consists of a laptop computer equipped with state-of-the-art HIPAA compliant encrypted video conferencing software with remote diagnostic equipment, transmitting in real time with the Pediatrician or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
According to Tim Shannon, 24/7 Kid Doc, Inc. CEO, "We are excited to have partnered with innovative school districts in both NC and GA that acknowledge that the future of school healthcare is Telemedicine. We continue to be very encouraged by the reception we are getting from other school superintendents throughout the South and look forward to announcing more school districts and pilot programs in the coming months."
