Unaccompanied Minor Children

A child between 5 and 17 years of age is considered a minor. Special service is offered by most of the Airlines when minor children are traveling alone, without their parents or guardians accompanying them. The Airlines see to it that the unaccompanied minor is never alone as one of the cabin crew is assigned to see to his/her needs from the start of the journey till the destination. They take care of the minor till they hand him/her over to the person specified by the parents/guardian. This service too requires a request at the time of booking and a special form to be filled up consequently by the parents/guardian giving details.
